Paddle Stone Equestrian Center is located on Bryan Station Rd in Lexington Ky and serves as a horse boarding and training stable designed around one simple philosophy: horses thrive when life is calm, social, and natural. We focus on creating a relaxed, drama-free environment where both horses and owners can truly enjoy their time. Proper nutrition, consistent care, and low-stress living are at the heart of everything we do. We believe a barn should be a place to unwind, connect, and appreciate horses—not a source of tension or chaos.
Unlike traditional stabling models, our horses live outdoors with friends rather than being confined to stalls all day. This approach supports healthier bodies, sounder minds, and happier horses overall. By encouraging natural movement, social interaction, and fresh air, we see fewer stress-related issues and more content, well-adjusted animals. For us, turnout isn’t a luxury—it’s a foundation of good horsemanship.
Owned and operated by Sandra and Everette Middleton for over 20 years, our farm has built a strong and trusted reputation within the Lexington equine community. In addition to boarding, we are deeply involved in rehoming horses in need and supporting 501(c)(3) equine rescues through fundraising and outreach. These efforts reflect our belief that caring for horses extends beyond our own property and into the wider equine world.
Located on 50 acres of beautiful Kentucky land, we live on site to ensure the horses are always well watched and cared for. Our farm is home to approximately 24 boarded horses at any given time, and over 80 percent of our boarders have been with us for more than a decade. That longevity speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our methods and the welcoming, laid-back atmosphere we work hard to maintain. Here, horses and humans alike are encouraged to relax, enjoy the moment, and feel at home.
